Tala Dołgowska

Tala Dołgowska stands out as one of the most individual/characteristic talents among the younger generation of Polish directors. A versatile artist, she expertly navigates the intersection of art and cinema. Her portfolio predominantly features high-profile commercials and high-fashion videos, yet she is equally adept at directing short movies, documentaries, and impressionistic works.

She emphasises aesthetics and conceptual depth, drawing rich inspiration from the cinematic arts. Educated at Jagiellonian University, the University of Warsaw, and the prestigious Wajda Film School, Dołgowska has made significant contributions through art exhibitions, publications, and engaging hybrid documentaries.

She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and holds a scholarship from the Kosciuszko Foundation. She honed her skills in prestigious programs like UnionDocs - Center of Documentary Art in New York, IDFAcademy, and CPH Dox Academy. Her acclaimed project "It Is All America" was featured at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, further cementing her reputation as a boundary-pushing creative at the nexus of art and film. Her work has been published by Nowness and showcased in many international film festivals, bringing her unique vision and artistic approach to a global audience. Currently, she is also working on her debut documentary. She has worked for brands such as Vogue, MISBHV, MIU MIU, LVMH, Reebok, YSL, H&M, Swatch and others.
